Memoriam

Early on in my portrait painting I was commissioned to paint a portrait from a favourite photo of a special person that left us some years ago and far too soon. After completing this commission I realized how special this painting meant to the family and it was this aha moment that I realized it would be nice to do this for families to help in their grieving process dealing with the loss of a loved one.Along with the original many prints have been made of the portraits and presented to these family members in which they are displayed so as to be a reminder  that they are still near and dear to their hearts. I enjoy the reaction people have when they see the painting as it warms my heart and to feel I contributed in some small way to make their sadness somewhat better. Those that left us as illustrated are;my brother Peter,Uncle Frank,Cousin Rosie,Sister in Law Leslie, good friend Michael (no picture shown)And Papa Jim.“Imagination is an invincible portrait.”
