Thanks for taking this time out of your busy schedule to review my latest blog post for my Rembrandt inspired special occasion greeting cards. 

This is the second installment of a set of four unique prints of either ; Rembrandt self portraits or paintings that he created of old men. 

As I’ve said in the past, there is no better feeling then have created a copy of a Master that has gone before us. From my early beginnings I really gravitated towards the invincible style of Rembrandt in such a way in which he captured the light on the face, those penetrating eyes that tell a story of that individual, the brushstrokes found on the tones of his skin, and the overall looseness of the hair and the wardrobe.

Copying Masters is probably the most fulfilling pleasure that any artist can accomplish.

This series is not complete, as I have one in a private collection, and many more on my tablet to create. 

It was never my intention to copy a Master for the sake of “Oh,I can do that “ but rather to immerse myself into the process of a rare experience of the creativity of portrait painting through the eyes of one of the world’s finest painter.And I thank him for this opportunity!
